Sažetak
The work presents a model based approach for the improvement of the disease prevention process and describes the results in the form of induced models for the coronary heart disease patients. The idea is to detect and to describe important population subgroups with unproportionately high rate of the disease and to use the knowledge in the prevention process. The model construction process is combination of the inductive learning based detection of interesting subgroups, comparative statistical analyses of risk factors in the induced groups, and expert knowledge description of these results. The importance of the results is in the fact that constructed models may help in the early detection of the disease in some important population subgroups.
