Sažetak
This thesis is a research which explores anglicism in Croatian language, particulary in TV commercials on four major Croatian TV channels (HTV1, HTV2, RTL, NOVATV). Data was collected in the period from April to June of 2014, focusing on nouns borrowed from the English language (42 loanwords in total). Besides giving a brief theoretical overview of history of semantic borrowing in Croatia and the definitions of major terms involving lexical borrowing, collected data was analysed and compared with a study by Rudolf Filipović conducted in 1990.
