Sažetak
Deep vein thrombosis due to compression of popliteal artery aneurysm is a rare complication of popliteal artery aneurysm. We report a case of a 73-year-old woman with popliteal vein compression caused by large popliteal artery aneurysm. Elective surgery should be performed in asymptomatic patients with low surgery risk and long life expectancy when a correct indication exists. Results of surgery in asymptomatic popliteal artery aneurysms are good and significantly better than symptomatic ones.
