Sažetak
Plant - feeding capacity of the soil using foliar diagnosis method was investigated in an experimental apple orchard planted on terra rosa in Istria in Croatia. Research was carried out on summer cultivars (Vista Bella, Quinte, Julyred, Jerseymac, Mantet, Discovery, Red Melba, Scotia, James Grieve Lired and Early Blaze) grafted on MM106 rootstock.
Genetic specificity in concentration of mineral nutrients was established.
The level of nitrogen was the highest in the leaves of cvs. James Grieve Lired and Early Blaze, and the lowest in cv. Mantet leaves.
There were no significant differences in phosphorous concentration in the leaves of all the investigated cultivars.
The level of potassium was the highest in cvs. Mantet and Discovery leaves, and the lowest in cvs. Red Melba and James Grieve Lired leaves.
The level of calcium was the highest in cv. Quinte leaves, and the lowest in cv. Early Blase leaves.
The concentration of magnesium was the highest in the leaves of cultivars Jerseymac and Mantet, and the lowest in the leaves of cultivars Discovery and Julyred.
The results of investigation into vegetative growth and productivity are also shown.
