Sažetak
According to its structure the animal skin as a natural polymer is a multicomponential continuum with a distinct porosity.
The leather as a porous membrane is analyzed in the article. The mechanical behaviour is analyzed in terms of the thermodynamics of materials. The influence of humidity and vapour of the fat content, as well as of the finishing, on the quality of leather are showed in this article.
