Sažetak
One of the most complex typical geotechnical works in urban areas are the construction pits. The complexity of their performance depends on the characteristics of the underground environment and the dimensions of the pits. Construction or design and execution of the construction pits needs to be adjusted to the terms of the site. Some-times some unwanted situations can occur due to unforeseen influences. The topic of this thesis deals with the most sensitive issues of the construction pits. More precisely, we will write about dimensional ratios of depth below the bottom of the retain wall of the construction pit and about the length of anchor with the depth of the construction pit. We will also comment the presentation of the protection of the construction pit in which there were unwanted consequences, ie, the damage of the surrounding, neighbouring buildings.
