Sažetak
The paper deals with road slopes, proven to be a common geostatic problem at road reconstruction, i.e. their widening in the above (upper) and below (lower) road area. The examples analyzed concern roads found on slopes and those lying on softer coherent materials (sensitive to sliding). The paper presents solutions for the protection of road slopes often applicable in Croatia in recent years, especially in environments vulnerable to sliding. Central elements of the protection and stabilization solutions discussed in this paper are gabion walls.
