Sažetak
Dementia is a syndrome used to describe various different brain disorders that have in common a loss of brain function, which is usually pregressive and eventually severe.Todax denetia is a syndrome of high incidence. Dementia is currently defined as a syndrome with impairement of cognitive functions that interferes substantially with personal affairs and resultats in inability to live indepedendently. Neuropsychiatric manifestations are very common in dementia affecting 50% to 80% of patients in the course of the disease. Pharmacotherapy of AD includes the treatment of cognitive deficits in AD, behavioural disturbances in AD, psychiatric symptoms in AD, insomnia in AD and pseudobulbar affect in AD. People with dementia are persons who have the same rights as other citizens, which includes the right to be traeted with dignity and respect.
