Sažetak
Alzheimers disease, recently declared by the World Health Organization, is considered as the most common cause of dementia and, in that case, a public-health priority. Knowing about the limited capabilities of todays pharmacotherapy, non- pharmacological approaches, such as špirit-uality, are becoming more and more important in the management of people with dementia. During many years of living with this slowly progressing and devastating disease, spirituality is often a sig- nificant advantage in overcoming unfavorable sit-uations every day. Spirituality can help our patients but also their family members who are, at the same time, often their caregivers.
