Sažetak
Introduction. The incidence of adrenal hemorrhage in perinatal period is 0.2-0.5 %. Prenatal diagnosis is rare. In most cases, the hemorrhage determine during wide diagnostic procedures in life threatened or serious sick newborns. Right adrenal gland is affected more often (65 %) than a left gland. Clinical symptomatology in 15-60% of cases are asymptomatic, and in the symptomatic cases is generally nonspecific. Possible perinatal risk factors are: hypoxia, perinatal infection, sepsis, trombocytopenia and coagulation disorders. Case presentation. We presented a case of female, at term (40 weeks of gestation) born neonate (4290 g), which was suspiction on cystic intra-abdominal mass already during 32. week of gestation. She was born from 2nd pregnancy of young and healthy mother. There were no other perinatal risk factors. Methods. After delivery, abdominal sonography was performed and we found the inhomogen formation above the upper pole of the right kidney (figure 1.). On the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), this formation described as an oval expansive lesion in the lodge right adrenal gland, measuring 3.8 x 2.8 x 3.5 cm, which corresponds to bleeding from the adrenal gland (figure 2.). The diameter of the formation in 6th week of life amounted 9.6 mm. Results Wide differential-diagnostic evaluation excluded other diseases, especially malignant. A child from birth during the perinatal periode were no clinical manifestation. Conclusions Regular ultrasound monitoring shown the resolution of the described formation, until its complete disappearance at the age of two months.
