Sažetak
The paper discusses contemporary status and assumptions for future research of stylistic on the syntactic level. There are three obligatory steps in that research: registration, description i verification. This paper deals with some (mostly) methodological problems related to one particular aspect of stylistic on the syntactic level - syntactic synonymy. Syntactic synonymy is the possibility of choosing between two different expressions or two different structures for one syntactic category. The chosen examples from Croatian language show the relation of direct object subgroups (in grammar books marked as interchangeable accusative and genitive case), attributes (possessive meanings are singled out, ex. possessiveness expressed by a noun in genitive case or by a possessive adjective), adverbials (illustrated with adverbs of time) and different types of sentences. Non-existing of the stylistic norm is a great problem for the research in stylistic on the syntactic level (for the stylistic verifications on the stylistic neutral and marked expressions and individual style). Research of stylistic on syntactic level could provide us better knowledge of the grammatical structure of the language, specifically about syntax.
