Sažetak
Minimally invasive surgery in treatment of fractures is defined as a surgical intervention by using minimal portals and minimal hardware. The standard treatment of fractures in children is usually conservative. Some of unstable fractures often show poor results after nonoperative management so that these fractures usually require surgical intervention. We report 60 children who were treated by minimally invasive concepts ; close reduction, elastic intramedullary nailing, K-wire, or screws. At the time of follow up 12 months later, functional results were excellent in 55 children, good in five children. There were no serious complications. Minimally invasive fracture stabilisation can be recommended for the treatment of unstable fractures with indication for surgery in children.
