Sažetak
After introduction of a special cell culture of Sertoli cells(bicameral cell system-BCS) a significant improvement in studing the function of these cells has become possible.This technique enabled Sertoli cells to form tight juntions in vitro and divide the culture into two different compartments which corresponded to the seminiferous epithelium compartments in situ.This resulted in the discovery of some new substanses secreted by Sertoli cells.
