Sažetak
The share of services in world trade and investment has been increasing. Over the past two decades, the service sector has expanded rapidly and has come to play an increasingly important role in national economies and in the international economy. The structure of foreign direct investment worldwide has also shifted towards services. In the context of this work it is necessary to emphasize that tourism is major service industry. Many developing countries are looking to tourism and tourism foreign direct investment as a promising av¬enue for economic and human sustainable development. But, it must be kept in mind that FDI in tourism, as well as in every other sector, has two sides, positive and negative.
