Sažetak
Quantification of carotenoids in tomato based products by UV-Vis and HPLC-TLS techniques, was reported. The comparison is made between UV-Vis spectrometry and HPLC-TLS when used for assaying carotenoids after extraction from tomato-based products. HPLC-TLS is superior in terms of accuracy, due to efficient separation of carotenes, and sensitivity (LOD values). However, UV-Vis spectrometry is time- and cost-effective and superior in precision (RSD data).
