Sažetak
The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between FDI and GDP in CEE countries in the frame of overall integration impact of CEE countries to EU. The research is performed on two homogenous sample groups of EU countries, 10 developed and 8 CEE developing ones. The dynamic period of 1998-2012 is chosen, which includes transition, adjustment, accession and membership of CEE countries in EU. The results confirm endogeneity of variables and refer on liability to use Generalized Method of Moments as estimation method. It is found bidirectional causality in developed group of countries and one directional in CEE group. The FDI inward in CEE countries is not the force that benefits the growth of GDP. Development policy must be focused on increasing the absorptive capabilities of these countries.
