Sažetak
The main leaf lamina and leaf petiole anatomical features of the Croatian endem Centaurea ragusina subsp. ragusina from the region of Split have been examined by light and scanning electron microscopes. Besides many xeromorphic properties which have arisen as a result of the species life in conditions of water deficit and high light intensity there have be identified those which could characterize the species and therefore could have taxonomic significance. The last include: microornamented cuticle of ordinary hairs, stomata with stomatal and peristomatal rim and long and narrow apperture, parenchymatous bundle sheats in the leaf lamina, sclerenchymatous caps adjacent to xylem and phloem in the petiole bundles and bundles arrangement in petiole.
