Sažetak
An understanding of diesel composition is of special interest in research and development of production processes, in production control, as well as in product quality determination. The composition data are the basis for prediction of some important diesel properties. Oxidation degradation is a crucial limiting factor for diesel fuel stability, especially since traditionally stabile virgin products from crude oil fraction are mixed with more unstable middle distillates products of different refining processes. [1], [2] This work deals with identification of compounds involved in the formation of sediment during diesel fuel aging. One dimensional inverse gated 13C NMR spectroscopy and comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography (GCXGC) have been used to analyze unoxidized and oxidized diesel fuels. Also, the comprehensive GCXGC has been used to analyze insoluble sediments. The diesel fuel aged under the condition of standard method ISO 12205. [3] Obtained results indicate that types of hydrocarbons found in diesel fuel have a great influence on the formation of sediments.
