Sažetak
This paper describes the specifics of the waste incineration boiler with natural circulation fueled with municipal waste. During operation, certain parts of the boiler are exposed to corrosion and erosion due to effect of particles from the flue gas stream at high temperature. Tests have been performed which include sediment and pipe damage after one year of boiler work. Chemical analysis of sediment samples was taken from the tubes was determined presence of NaCl and Fe compounds and share from 18 % organic substances in the presence of SO3. The finding was that the pH of the water solution on the sediment has a value below 4. The conclusion is that effect of accelerated and intensive corrosion as a consequence of present carbonate and sulfur trioxide which in reaction with water steam contribute to the formation of sulfuric acid. The samples was produced with protective INCONEL welded layers based on Ni-Cr-Mo-Nb-Fe. Test has been performed on resistance of welded layers on erosive wear by abrasive particles. Conclusion was that the most spent samples were tested at an angle of 90º perpendicular to the direction of welding. This suggests that part of the boiler roof is most exposed to erosion abrasives from flue gas stream. During the boiler design, designer have to take in account influence of wear mechanism as well as selection of materials and continuation of research related to protection possibilities of heating surface, from erosion of wear abrasives.
