Sažetak
The sensitive and selective method for iron(III) identification with desferrioxamine B, is proposed, based on fixation on a cation exchanger. The reaction pathway involving the formation of more than one iron(III) chelate species on strongly acidic exchanger beads is pointed out. The limit of identification of 3.03x10^-10 g of Fe(III) is achieved by application of Dowex HCR(ammonium form) resin. Among 74 foreign substances investigated (diverse ions, complexing, oxidizing and reducing agents) only V(V) interferes.
