Sažetak
Compared to ASSR and ABR is a new method of objective hearing treshold evaluation in children. There is a need for more data of comparing these methods especially in hearing impaired children. We studied how methods correlated for each and stimulus, and what a treshold difference (TD) was by frequencies. Methods : The evaluation included all infants who were referred to our audiogy units, in total 61 infants (122 ears) at the age from 1- 60 months (median 11, mean 17, 9). The tresholds of ABR were evaluated by narrow bnd CE chirps of 500 and 1000 HZ and by chirp stimulation on 500, 1000, 2000, ad 4000 HZ.Both methods were applied un all cases in the same session. Results: The correlation between thresholds oh both werer calculated by linear regression. TD for small all stimuli of both methods were analysed as well. The number of data was different for each frequency, beacause sime children had woken strongly before the test was completed. Multiple ASSR tresholds were strongly correlated with frequency specific ABR stimuli (r = 0, 85, , 0, 92, 0, 94) for 500, 1000 and 2000/4000 Hz, respecively.Mean TDs (ASSR minus ABR +- ISD) were 8, 8 (8, 4), 6, 7, 6.7 (6, 9) and 8, 9 (7, 9) respecively. Conclusion : The results indicated that the multiple ASSR and frequency ABR tresholds were strongly correlated. The distribution of TD in the range of +- was 82 % for 500 HZ and 90 % for 1000 HZ, while distribution of TD for 2000)4000 HZ was 72% in the range of 0 to 10 Db (90 % in the range of 0 to 20 db).
