Sažetak
Thermoplastic textile composites demand constant improvements in its properties due to wide usage in sectors such as transport industry and infrastructure where replace materials such as aluminum and steel. In this paper, triaxial braids based on commingled polypropylene/glass yarns suitable for thermo-compression have been researched in terms of thermal behaviour without usage of fire retardants. The main difference between braids produced by tubular braiding machine is in braiding angle. Microscale Combustion Calorimetry (MCC), Thermogravimetric Analyser (TGA) and Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) Instrument were taken to examine the flammability of the braided structures that can contribute to saving human lives on the roads.
