The present invention relates to derivatives of 1- thiadibenzoazulene, their pharmacologically acceptable salts, solvates and prodrug forms, processes for the preparation thereof and their therapeutic effects in diseases where concurrent inhibition of several secreted and/or cell surface expressed inflammatory mediators such as interleukin 1 beta, interleukin-6, interferon gamma, IL-4, IL-13, tumor necrosis factor alpha, eotaxin and CD258 (TNFSF14, LIGHT) is neccessary to overcome redudancy throughout the immune system and reach the therapeutic effect.
