Sažetak
The authors within this paper conducted an analysis of a large number of small vessels divided into two main groups. First group are motor vessels, and the second one are sailboats. The aim of the analysis is calculating the equipment number for each vessel. Furthermore, the anchoring equipment selection for each vessel is performed using rules and regulations of relevant classification society. The results obtained in such approach were shown in the diagrams as specifically defined set of points in function off vessels length or displacement for two analyzed groups of vessels. This set of points was approximated with mathematically defined curve of corresponding degree. Diagrams obtained in such way can be used for quickly and accurately determine the anchoring equipment characteristics and its weight for small vessels within the early stages of design procedure, without the need for detailed calculations and all in the functions of only one variable as hull length or displacement. In such way the application of the proposed diagrams can enable time savings in the first circle of design spiral.
