Sažetak
The Kopački rit Nature Park is located in northeastern Croatia, in the floodplain between the Danube and the Drava Rivers. This area is protected since 1967, and proclaimed as nature park in 1999 on total 231 km2 surface. It is listed in 1993 as an internationally important wetland (Ramsar area). Dynamics and intensity of flooding are the main ecological factor which directly affects composition and distribution of land and aquatic habitats, as well as plant diversity. Floristic field research was carried out in the period 2010- 2014. It was determined that macrophyte flora of the Kopački rit Nature Park includes 158 taxa, classified into 87 genera and 45 families of bryophytes, pteridophytes and flowering plants. It makes 32% of total of 497 taxa in the vascular flora of the Park. The most numerous family is Cyperaceae with 26 taxa. Life-forms analysis indicated domination of hemicryptophytes (58 taxa) and hydrophytes (52 taxa). Chorological analysis indicated that most frequent is Eurasian floristic element (55 taxa), followed by the plants of wide distribution (48 taxa). Among recorded taxa, 11 are allochthonous, of which 6 are invasive allien species. The Red Book of Vascular Flora of Croatia includes 35 taxa or 22% of total ; classified as: critically endangered (6 taxa) ; endangered (6) ; vulnerable (13) ; near threatened (6), deficient taxa (3), and least concerned, 1 taxa. Occurrence, diversity and population size of macrophytes are threatened by increased fluctuations in flooding intensity, prolongation of dry season, accumulation of bed loads and natural succession of the marshland.
