Sažetak
Modification of the microstructure of AISI M2 high-speed steel. Vacuum heat treatment Ratio between hardness and fracture toughness. Effect of the amount of retained austenlte, undis-eolved eutectic carbides, as well as the mean distance between them. Newly developed semi-empirical equation, based on the stress-modified critical strain criterion. Calculated fracture toughness values. Agreement between quantified microstruc-tural parameters, and experimental results.
