Sažetak
The subject of this paper is the presentation of the cases in which Legal Aid Clinic in Zagreb was the legal aid provider. Case analysis may detect reasons of malfunctions regarding the access to justice in Croatia. Generally, the reasons for seeking free legal aid can be divided into two categories – financial and long lasting administrative and/or judicial procedures. The problems that are causing obstacles for the Croatian citizens include, for example, lacunae iuris, insufficient regulation, administrative silence, etc. This paper may identify and clarify those problems, and thus help to explain the reasons for the challenges which the present Croatian free legal aid system is facing.
