Sažetak
Specimens of family Scyliorhinidae, Scyliorhinus canicula (Linnaeus, 1758) and Scyliorhinus stellaris (Linnaeus, 1758) and of family Triakidae, Galeorhinus galeus (Linnaeus, 1758), Mustelus asterias (Cloquet, 1821), Mustelus mustelus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Mustelus punctulatus (Risso, 1826) were caught from 1997 to 2002 in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. All the specimens were morphologically analysed and the other data concerning place, date, depth and method of the catch were recorded as well. Besides personal observations, in this research data recorded by local fishermen were also taken in account. The map of Adriatic Sea with positions where the specimens were caught is given for all investigated species. A total of 1076 specimens were caught, of which 626 belonged to Scyliorhinus canicula (Linnaeus, 1758), 119 to Scyliorhinus stellaris (Linnaeus, 1758), 9 to Galeorhinus galeus (Linnaeus, 1758), 123 to Mustelus asterias (Cloquet, 1821), 160 to Mustelus mustelus (Linnaeus, 1758) and 39 to Mustelus punctulatus (Risso, 1826). All this investigated species have commercial importance in Croatian fisheries. Since there have been no systematic data about shark fishery for the eastern Adriatic sea, it is not possible to determine precise level of threat for each of this species in this area.
