Sažetak
The study comprised paraoxonase and arylesterase activities, paraoxonase phenotypes and lipid status in uremic patients on long-term hemodialysis treatment. Paraoxonase and arylesterase activitiess of the patients were significantly lower in the hemodialysed uremic patients compared to healthy population from the same area (Slavonski Brod , Croatia). The distribution of paraoxonase phneotypes AA, AB and BB in hemodialysed uremic patients were 45%, 37% and 18%, respectively. The distribution of paraoxonase phneotypes AA, AB and BB in controls were 39%, 48% and 13%, respectively.
