Sažetak
Results of measurements of the ozone volume in Osijek are reported for the 2012th growth season.Monitoring site on the north side of town along the Drava River at an altitude of about 10 m above the ground was chosen to distinguish two types of air masses: one from the rural and marshy region to the north and the other urban and suburban from the south. The measured hourly averages ozone volume fractions varied between 0 and 85 ppb, the average being 25 ppb. The low value indicated that the air is well mixed. Thus, no significant photochemical pollution problems are expected for the city of Osijek. The original hourly data on meteorological parameters and volume of ozone are classified as matrix, and factor analysis was made in order to define the variables describing their mutual dependence. The principal components analysis showed that ozone positively correlated with temperature as expected due to a number of chemical reactions in the atmosphere. On the other hand, ozone concentrations correlated negatively with all other measured pollutants.
