Sažetak
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) have become very serious in a variety of different electronic equipment such as personal computers (frequency of several GHz), mobile devices (0.9 GHz - 2.4 GHz) and similar. This imposes the need of setting boundaries for EM emission of electric and electronic devices in order to minimize the possibility of interference with radio and wireless communications. Functional textiles should offer protective properties against various risks, e.g. electromagnetic (EM) radiation. The aim of this study was to investigate the degree of protection against electromagnetic radiation of fabric produced from blend of cotton with modacryl having interwoven inox yarn in a weft direction before and after 10 cycles of dry and wet cleaning. Electromagnetic protection efficiency of the interlining functional fabric was tested on both sides at the frequencies of 0.9 GHz and 2.1 GHz. The results obtained have shown that the protective properties against electromagnetic radiation were reduced after dry and wet cleaning processes.
