Sažetak
The paper presents a qualitative study that aimed to gain insight into the experiences and reflections of social workers, employed in the profession, on the application of spirituality in social work. Thirty-seven social workers who are employed in the profession of social work participated in the research. The data were collected using semi-structured interviews, and analyzed by the procedure of qualitative analysis. The analysis of results led to the conceptions of religiosity and spirituality for social workers, social workers' experience on the application of spirituality in social work, and possibilities for improvement of spirituality in social work. The results showed that social workers differentiate religiosity from spirituality. Social workers believe that application of spirituality in social work is of particular importance because it facilitates the work of social workers, and presents a source of support in coping with difficulties for users. Social workers believe that the spirituality in social work should develop in the direction of the quality education within the Department of Social Work.
