Sažetak
This article analyses the basic mechanisms of tribological wear due to tribological processes that occur during cold and hot forging. Forging dies surface wear has a large influence on the product surface quality so it is necassary to reduce the waer intensity as much as possible. Also very important is to maintain needed tolerances of the final product, especially in hot precision forging. Understanding the tribological wear processes, that occur on the forging die surfaces, is necessary for analyses of die wear intensity. Tribological meethods that are used to decrease the intesity of wear are listed in this paper.
