Sažetak
In this extending editorial authors (as well as guest editors of this thematic issue of the journal) starts their analysis with a brief description of demographic change in Europe. The main part of the article is devoted to critical readings of the concept of active ageing, including its use in various policies. The final part of the editorial presents eight articles published in this issue.
