Sažetak
This paper presents the results obtained by testing of concrete with the addition of polypropylene fibers (1 and 2 kg/m3) in order to evaluate the suitability for use in the secondary tunnel lining. The main focus has been given to the testing of the elements of the secondary tunnel linings under fire conditions. Testing specimens were exposed to rising temperature in accordance with RWS (Rijkswaterstaat) curve, which presents the most rigorous conditions of fire loading for tunnel constructions. The study confirmed that the addition of polypropylene fibers in concrete mixtures reduces the risk of explosive spalling and occurrence of cracks in concrete elements and provides cost-effective fire protection for tunnel linings
