Sažetak
INTRODUCTION: Early entry into sexual relationships and a number of partners over a lifetime increases the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. The most important for protection from sexually transmitted diseases is the knowledge and attitudes of individuals. Risky factors are young age, especially less than 15 years, immature reproductive system, female gender and sexual intercourse under the influence of alcohol and drugs. GOAL: In this paper we represent sexually activity of the youth in the Brod-Posavina county and frequency of risky sexual behavior under the influence of alcohol and drugs. METHODS AND RESPONDENTS: We designed a survey "Risky behavior of the youth in Brod-Posavina county" and conducted on all students in their final year of high school three-year education. Survey is anonymous, and includes a total of 509 students. Results are processed in Excel. RESULTS: Survey includes total of 509 students, 329 (65.4%) had sexual intercourse 197 boys and 69 girls. Analyzing only the students who had sexual intercourse 68.1% of boys stated that had first sexual intercourse at age of 15, 21.6% at age of 14, and 9.7 % at age of 13 or less. 84.3% of girls stated that they had sexual intercourse at age of 15, 9.8% of them at age of 14 years, and 3.9% at age of 13 or less. 56.9% boys had sexual intercourse under the influence of alcohol, and 14.3% under the influence of drugs. 30.4% of all girls had sexual intercourse under the influence of alcohol, and 8.8% under the influence of drugs. CONCLUSION: Youth in Brod-Posavina county are sexually active at a very early age and have sexual relationships under the influence of alcohol and drugs, what increased risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Education and prevention starting early as in primary school is very important and must be appropriate to the age of children.
