Sažetak
In the 21st century most of the loanwords entered Russian through the mass media and the focus of this thesis is on words that have become a part of the Russian music terminology. English loanwords have been analysed from the semantic point of view referring mostly to the scientific work of Rudolf Filipović and his classification of semantic changes, that is, it has been demonstrated how English loanwords form their meaning during the integration into the receiving language system, what changes they go through during the adaptation and how the meaning of loanwords relates to the meaning of its model. The analysis has shown that, when it comes to primary adaptation, sixteen anglicisms out of fifty adopted their meaning during the zero semantic extension, twenty belong to the restriction of meaning in number and two belong to the restriction of meaning in the field. When it comes to the secondary adaptation, eight anglicisms adopted their meaning during the extension of meaning in number and two during the extension of meaning in the field. Two anglicisms were adopted in their elliptical form and two anglicisms were introduced as examples of metonymy.
