Sažetak
The have studied the various infectious complications in intensive care unit patients before and after filter placement, and in the control group. In the study the differences in the level of C-reactive protein, leucicyte count and body temperature before and after the intravenous filter placement were analysed, yielding a statisticaldifference for C-reactive protein. The intravenous filter placement is a useful method to prevent local thrombophlebitis and systemic bacterial infection in intensive care unit patients.
