Sažetak
Application efficiency of microbial biomass as the main waste product of the process of oxytetracyclin production was studied. Biomass hydrolisate (BH) prepared by acid hydrolysis of separated wet biomass was evaluated with respect to its use as a nitrogen and phosphorus source in microbial processes. Convenience of BH in comparison with yeast extract (YE) and corn steep liquor (CSL) was evaluated. Process kinetics of yeast bomass, L-sorbose, oxytetracycline and glucoamylase productions were studied applying shake flask cultivation methods. Results showed that BH could be efficiently used as a convenient N and P source either alone or in combination with other N and P sources.
