Sažetak
The paper deals with some variations of a cost function for optimization of a stacked circularly polarized patch antenna design. The cost function takes into account both return loss and axial ratio of the antenna. In order to achieve a superior design a hybrid Genetic algorithm - Newton search technique was applied for minimization of the cost function. The antenna was modeled using simple method of moments in spectral domain with entire domain basis functions. The resulting antennas show considerably wide operating bandwidth.
