Sažetak
In comparison with transplantation of other organs, experimental transplantation of small intestine is a technicaly simple operative procedure. In doogs and pigs, mesenteric blood vesels are wide enough allowing the use of standard sirgical technique. The same holds for graft taking. If rat is uded as an experimental model, a microsirgical technique should be employed and aortic cuff obtained to restore arterial anastomosis. Systemic venous drainage is normaly used in experiments. With prolonged graft survival ownin g to improved immunosuppression, the problems related to small intestine transplantation have shifted to the technical and operative area.
