Sažetak
Garić and Krčin, two late medieval castles, are part of rich cultural heritage of continental Croatia. Although their geostrategic position, function and form differed, Garić and Krčin shared the same dismal fate. Due to a series of unfortunate historical events, they rather rapidly went from being representative monuments to provincial ruins. This case study is dedicated to an attempt to consolidate all available data, from scarce historical facts to an overview of completed research and conservation works, with a goal of restoring some of their former glory.
