Sažetak
Quinazolines and quinazolinones are common structural motifs found in naturally occurring heterocycles. When fused to a pyrrolo[1, 2-c]quinazolinone, pyrrolo[1, 2-c]quinazoline and pyrrolo[3, 2-c]quinoline compounds, interesting biologiocal effects were discovered such as antihypertensive, cytotoxic, antiviral, antimalarial, anitbacterial, etc. Despite of this medicinally interesting activity, up to now, only a few examples of pyrrolo[1, 2-c]quinazolinone synthesis are known in the literature and they usually involve multistep syntheticprocedures. Recently we have applied the Suzuki reaction between the various ortho substituted arylhalides and N-Boc-pyrrol-2-yl boronic acid to prepare 2-[(2-substituted)phenyl]pyrrole derivatives. We found that o-bromoaniline in the same reaction conditions gives pyrrolo[1, 2-c]quinazolinone as a product of cross coupling reaction followed by intramolecular cyclization. As an extension of this work we report the applicability of the above mentioned one-pot tandem reaction for the preparation of a series of new pyrrolo[1, 2-c]quinazolinones.
