Sažetak
An Internet Kiosk is a public communication and multimedia point that provides a user with an access to the Internet and information services. A human administrator, using an Internet Kiosk Network Manager application with a two dimensional, windows-based Graphical User Interface may manage the Internet Kiosk Network. This paper addresses several enhancements to the current Internet Kiosk Network Manager. An improved platform-independent human-computer interface, based on Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), as well as a functional enhancement to the Internet Kiosk Manager, based on High Level Architecture (HLA), have been proposed. Advantages of VRML and HLA-based approach include a better overview of the whole Internet Kiosk Network, at a desired level of detail, as well as scalability, simulation reuse, and a perspective towards extensions to simulation and visualization capabilities.
