Sažetak
This paper presents a concept and implementation of the computer integrated tool for design and simulation of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS). An integrated control system, which supports intelligent processing of the acquired sensor data, graphically oriented setup of the FMS and dynamically linked automated multilevel control of such a system is presented. A methodology that provides an elegant way of setting an FMS configuration, supports automatic generation of a matrix-based FMS description and consequently, enables effective off-site design and simulation of the FMS by using virtual reality models and web-related technologies.
