Sažetak
Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) are very complex in the sense of design, modelling, simulation and control. The goal of this paper is to introduce a timed matrix-based model of a discrete event system (DES). In order to extend a matrix-based model to the problems of modelling and analysing dynamic behaviour of a DES, new matrices that contain operational times are included in the matrix model. That offers simple procedures for dynamic modelling of a DES. In order to test the model, the results obtained by simulation of the (FMS) are compared with the experimental results.
