Sažetak
The study on pollen morphology of some rare Alpine-Dinaric endemic plants was carried out as a part of the bilateral Croatian-Austrian collaboration. About 40 taxa from the genera Asperula, Corydalis, Iris and from the families Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Orchidaceae and Rosaceae were analysed. Some of them are very rare and narrow endemic for specific Alpine-Dinaric area, such as: Asperula staliana Vis. ssp. issaea Korica, Asperula staliana Vis. ssp. staliana, Centaurea ragusina L., Centaurea crithmifolia Vis., Centaurea friderici Vis. ssp. jabukensis (Ginzb.et Teyber) Greuter, Corydalis acaulis (Wulfen) Pers., Degenia velebitica (Degen) Hayek, Iris adriatica Trinajstić ex Mitić, Iris rotschildii Degen, Sibiraea altaiensis (Laxm.) C. K. Schneid. subsp. croatica Degen, etc. The pollen samples of all taxa were obtained from field collections and examined by Scanning Electron Microscope in dry and hydrated state. Descriptions of pollen grains will be presented and their taxonomical implications will be commented. Our results are a contribution to the better knowledge about Alpine-Dinaric endemic plants taxonomy and phylogeny.
