Sažetak
We have calculated the mean-free-path (mfp) of near-monochromatic hadronic axions produced in the solar core during M1 transitions between the first, thermally excited state of 57Fe, at 14.4 keV, and the ground state. Solar absorption of axions of mass 1 keV has been found to be insignificant (<10-7) with the implication of free escape from the solar interior.
