Sažetak
In this article we have proposed a new expression for calculating visually tuned quantization steps for wavelet coefficients quantization. This expression is based on the measurement results for five wavelets and a theoretic relationship between quantization noise visibility in the resonstructed image and wavelet filters frequency characteristics. We have shown that quantization with steps adapted to wavelet in such a way gives better image subjective quality.
