Sažetak
In process of transition from � command� to market oriented economy and reconstruction after the war, the Republic of Croatia needs to employ its R&D potentials for economic development. That requires systematic organization and financing of R&D projects, building strong links between research institutions and industry and foundation of effective supporting infrastructure for start-up and growth of technology-based small and medium enterprises. The great attention in Croatian situation should be focused on promoting and establishing entrepreneurial culture and proactive behavior in the academic sector. This paper reports current status of the Croatian technology infrastructural network and discusses the newly proposed program for its improvement. Croatian participation in European R&D cooperation programs is outlined.
